Situation

Wipro wants to relocate their Panasonic telephone system and enhance their communication channels especially the conference aspect. 

Proposal

We designed a solution to support a dynamic business with hot-desking and video conferencing equipment to support their sales, management, and local operations.

We utilised a Panasonic TDE 200 IP system with Lifesize video conferencing to provide a powerful communication tool that would help our customers in an emerging marketplace. 

Outcome

Features of Panasonic TDE 200 include supporting IP communication using a variety of IP telephones, software-based telephones that allow your PC to make and receive calls, wireless system, simplified voice messages, etc., which brings the convenience of operation. Avaya B159 conference phone offers sophisticated and easy-to-use communication solutions for small to large companies. The superior voice quality effectively costs maximum the communication outcome for stakeholders across different locations.

High-quality video conferencing delivers competitive advantages to our customers such as low time and cost consumption, efficient contact with colleagues and customers, accelerating the speed of their business, and improving productivity.

Selection Steel Trading was founded in 1971 providing sheet and coil products and a full range of aluminised, galvanised, electro-gal, plate steels etc.  They also deliver slitting, shearing, blanking and tailored stock arrangement services for customers. The company believes their service and product quality are their signature so maintaining a good relationship with stakeholders and accreditation to ISO 9001 is vital.

Situation

Selection Steel had an existing legacy environment that needed refreshing.

Proposal

Our project rollout involved consultation with key management personnel regarding the problems and issues of the past. Our aim was to redesign and roll out the eventual solution focussing on planning for the future.  The right equipment and solution will help to reduce future effort and cost.

Implementation

We constructed a robust computer room containing modern communications racks, cable management, and power protection for Selection Steel. The server racks allows proper airflow so the temperature of the communications equipment could be maintained for most effective performance. 

Cable management provides clear identification of cables and UPS power protection will prevent loss of data, brownout or complete blackout. 

We also designed active equipment layout to help organise equipment efficiently with easy access and standardization. This will enable staff at Selection Steel to follow labelling and documentation to carry out simple moves and changes.

Southern Cross Oil Pty Ltd (SCL) is Mobil’s Strategic Lubricant Distributor for Victoria and Tasmania. SCL provides services to customers such as Petrogas, Tas Petroleum, Brown Wigg across Victoria, Tasmania and Southern New South Wales. The company offers lubricants and oils of high quality for professional use.

Situation

Although SCL already had an IP Telephone system, it did not have the capacity to handle the audio conferencing demands of the business for its sales and marketing team.

Proposal

Rather than “forklifting” the existing system we formulated a solution to integrate best of breed technology from Avaya to interface with the digital telephone system. The customer can now schedule their own conference calls or start up conference calls from their reception application and transfer to the meeting room of choice. 

Outcome

Understanding how our customers conduct their business is vital in customising appropriate solutions that work for them. SCL staff required flexibility of using wireless headsets such as Jabra GN9450 as it connects to either desk or softphone and has touch buttons to handle calls easily.  A messaging solution was another phone feature configured for the client. It enables them to professionally capture every phone call so they do not miss any business opportunity.

Garry & Warren Smith (GWS) sells new or used cars and delivers ancillary service to the retail automobile industry such as insurance and finance solutions. It also prides itself upon maintaining customer vehicles through their service departments. This family business is the oldest and largest multi franchised automobile dealer in Victoria.

Situation

Update existing phone system & provide additional phone features to enable their staff to support multiple brands of motor vehicles for sales, service and parts. 

The Solution

Auswide Communications implemented an Avaya IP office 500 seamlessly into the business providing IP telephony, unified communications capability across all sites, call recording functionality and a conferencing solution to help manage business more effectively. For instance, the Unified Communications Interface shows an employee’s status on the computer allowing the call handler to identify if someone is available or not.

The system is equipped with a hybrid platform enabling GWS to utilise analogue, digital and IP handsets to provide flexibility independent of their cabling and network systems that exist within their buildings. Each user has the same functionality irrespective of their phone type.

We also designed and installed an Audio Visual solution for their new showroom and Board room at their Oakleigh site, including high speed HD transmission devices and a server to house their library of content. 

Study shows that up to 70% callers are put on hold for at least 43 seconds so Auswide installed a message on hold solution into the system to help provide customer comfort that their call was in progress.

The Avaya 9508 telephone was utilised in the service departments to increase the visual capability for one touch features that enable staff to react quickly to customer requests. Features like call redirection, voicemail and presence were also configured to enhance customer service charter.

Outcome

This project provided GWS with an opportunity to unify their IP communications capability and features across all sites. As a result, GWS saved time and resources on their communication system, and connected more efficiently with staff and customers.

Precise Advice Financial Services Pty Ltd is a boutique financial planning and investment advisory company established in 1984. Their financial planning and insurance management services include retirement planning, superannuation, life insurance, income protection, risk insurance and Centrelink advice.

Situation

Precise Advice want to have an efficient communication channel that they need more capacity and the flexibility to answer phone calls via mobiles. 

Proposal

We configured a Panasonic NS700 IP telephone system that contains 6 to 288 extensions, call centre solutions, smart hybrid system, rich IP features such as mobile linking, integrated voicemail and e-mail. We also installed Panasonic  KX-NT553 IP handset  for Precise Advice because it helps to maximize company productivity. It contains different function buttons to help you transfer a call, conference other people in or put your call on hold. With 12 flexible CO buttons, you can add or delete your contacts easily without wasting paper label, and if you press next page button, it leads you to more contacts. 

We not only designed and implemented a new solution for IP telephony and business continuity but also upgraded the communications room to accommodate a partnership with a complimentary tenant. This was achieved by providing a solution where both companies could share resources for data and voice but having their own bills for carriage services.

We also deployed 3KVA UPS to protect active equipment with scheduled shutdown so employees can avoid data loss and hardware such as switches and routers will be protected.

Outcome

The features of NS700 helps Precise Advise to work more productive: 3 digit extension numbers are easier for employees to remember and or use one touch keys. It enables remote workers to stay connected with the office and clients using mobile twinning or transferring calls from the office offsite. Also, customers could reach the department via a menu selection system.

For the last decade, the company has grown, merged with other companies and developed. Now Petrogas is a major competitive force in the South Eastern Australian fuel and lubricant marketplace.

Situation

Petrogas believes that in an ever changing world, companies need to be governed by the need to progress that is why Petrogas keeps an eye on the future. The foundation to achieving their goals is based upon an effective communications system which networks across all locations.

Proposal

Revolving around a positive business outcome, Auswide Communications deployed a complete data cabling solution, rolled out IP telephony with voice messaging to all sites. All of Petrogas workplaces were connected through a wide area network capable of supporting data and voice for critical customer support and operations.

The Panasonic NS series of systems enabled hybrid working for staff to share resources and cooperate with other sites more actively. Calls were able to be transferred between sites and reduced costs in carriage from their service provider.
A Viewsonic interactive smart screen was provided to help employees work more effectively in their board room.

Outcome

Auswide Communications provided a time saving solution that reduced the probability of communicating error and improved customers and employee satisfaction.
